You lead the men toward where you saw Randall, up near the bar. But before you can leave the dining room, Randall appears, face white and sweating. He meets your eyes. “She’s waking!” he screams. The leader releases you and grabs the better-dressed Randall.
“Where’s the money, fancy man?” he growls.
“Money?” Randall repeats. “It’s… it’s not here. Let me go, you fools!”
A tremor shakes the restaurant.
The three toughs begin beating Randall. You are unnoticed. You see Darling Corrie stir. Beneath her rising eyelids, a dreadful light shines.
