Welcome to The Week in Review, our Sunday wrap-up for those too busy to follow Stupefying Stories on a daily basis. Before we get to the latest news—yes, that’s a caprese salad. Fresh tomatoes, sliced about a quarter-inch thick; fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced likewise; fresh basil, just picked from my garden; sprinkled with a little freshly ground pepper and salt and drizzled with a thick balsamic vinegar: there may be a more delightful late summer side dish, but if there is, I’ve never tasted it.
