Adding to A Tale of Two Book Covers (Part 2): no, seriously, “Buck Turner and The Spud from Space” would make a great low-budget indie or student film project. You could shoot almost the entire thing with just two sets: an interior set that could be any lounge bar in any major metropolitan airport, and an exterior nighttime location shoot at the old Nike missile site just off Mulholland Drive. The hardest part would be getting the permits you’d need to film in San Vicente Mountain Park.
Come on, someone must find this idea worth optioning.
